Our Methodology
ForgeStandard
Manufacturing System
A controlled definition of how a component is manufactured—and how that knowledge is maintained as production evolves.
From engineering to a repeatable process
Define what works.
Control what changes.
In collaboration with the OEM, HAKERN’s approach is to develop, prove, and validate the manufacturing process for a component. ForgeStandard captures the approved process baseline and the requirements for executing it.
Differences between manufacturing environments are evaluated, documented, and qualified through the applicable customer approval process.
- Manufacturing sequence & CNC strategy
- Machine capability requirements
- Tooling, fixtures & workholding
- Probing & in-process controls
- Inspection & quality requirements
- Process parameters & controlled revisions
From validation to production
Build capacity around
a proven process.
- 01
Develop & validate
Establish the baseline process with the OEM.
- 02
Define capability
Document machine, tooling, and quality requirements.
- 03
Identify resources
Assess compatible machines and manufacturing partners.
- 04
Verify & qualify
Validate the receiving environment and obtain required approvals.
- 05
Deploy & improve
Maintain controlled revisions and incorporate approved learning.
Lessons learned once
Turn a finding into
shared knowledge.
A nonconformance at one supplier may reveal a process issue relevant to others. After investigation, the applicable corrective action can be approved, incorporated into ForgeStandard, and assessed for deployment across participating sources.
A local machine or execution issue may need a local correction. The common standard helps distinguish changes that should be shared from those specific to one manufacturing environment.
Work with HAKERN
Let’s discuss manufacturing capability.
We welcome conversations with aerospace and defense OEMs, Tier 1 organizations, and manufacturing partners about process development, second sourcing, and production capacity.
